Part of the Women in Planning Lunch & Learn Series, this session is one of eight nationally delivered events bringing together insights from Women in Planning Networks across Australia. 

Each session is led by a different network and designed to explore topics that resonate across the profession offering practical takeaways, shared experiences and the chance to connect with peers nationwide. 

 

This session will discuss persuasion techniques, emotional intelligence, stakeholder management and navigating challenging conversations.

Lauren Newton, Technical Director for Queensland Landscape Architecture, AECOM

Lauren Newton is an effervescent Urban Landscape Architect and Master Planner on a mission to embed the philosophy of human-centered design into tangible processes within her proven methodology. As the Technical Director for Queensland Landscape Architecture in AECOM, spanning the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast studios, Lauren leads with a people-first mindset, investing heavily in team mentoring, capability development and governance across resourcing, delivery and backlog management.

Lauren's role also involves elevating our market presence by representing the business on key industry panels such as PCA and AILA, while driving meaningful, client-focused engagement through thought-leadership and industry-shaping contributions.
