About Jane's Walk
Inspired by Jane Jacobs, a pioneering urbanist who championed walkable, people-centred cities, Jane’s Walks are free, community-led events which happen globally in early May, designed to bring people together to discuss what makes great places. Whether you’re an urban planner, local history buff, architecture enthusiast, or just someone who loves their neighborhood, this walk is for you!
About the 2026 Walking Tour Series
Celebrating 40 years of Queensland Awards
Join the Planning Institute of Australia to walk, experience and enjoy a range of interesting and interesting precincts, many of which have been crowned as winners or commendations in the past 40 years of the Queensland Planning Awards of Excellence.
The tours are proposed to be undertaken during the pleasant time of year and tour themes will include urban renewal, Olympics 2032, heritage, parks, sport and recreation.
There is no better way to enjoy a place than to visit along with the people who were involved in the project or are advocates for that place!
