About the course
Participants can enrol in this course at any time, making it easy to start whenever it suits you. The course is self-paced, allowing you to progress through the material at a speed that works best for your schedule and learning style. Once enrolled, you’ll have up to two months to complete the course.
A suggested study plan and timetable is provided in the course material which should help you plan your study around your work and family commitments.
On completion of the Legislation and Governance unit, participants will have:
- Examined current best practice in planning skills, processes and governance that affect planning practice;
- Explored a range of contemporary tools and methodologies available to the planner, which may enhance planning processes and practice;
- Broadly identified recent key changes in planning law that may impact on planning practice and administrative procedures;
- Augmented their knowledge of working in courts and tribunals and of the role of statutory interpretation and judicial decisions on planning practice; and
- Reflected on the practical application of the tools and principals presented in this unit to their workplace

Registrations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the event date will not incur any fees and a full refund will be granted.
If you cannot attend and you are within 14 days of the event date, you can transfer your ticket to another person.
In all other situations we cannot issue a refund or credit.
