Attendees will gain valuable insight into the tips and traps you should be aware of and how lawyers and planners can best collaborate to achieve favourable outcomes for their clients. Alisa Taylor has 20 years’ experience in property and construction disputes in Canberra and surrounds. She frequently acts for developers, and home owners, in relation to disputes with the Territory about planning approvals and property taxes such as lease variation charges and rates. Her team has an impressive track record in resolving disputes early, and preserving the feasibility of the project.
Kate Hetherington, Special Counsel at MV Law has close to a decade of experience in property and planning disputes. With a strong base of experience in administrative law matters (and particularly review of decisions made by the Territory Planning Authority and Commissioner for ACT Revenue), she combines deep legal expertise, her practical outcomes-focussed approach and effective collaboration with consultants to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
